On Saturday evening Spain selected the song to be performed by Pastora Soler in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 on 26th May in Baku. Donny Montell (Donatas Montvydas) will represent Lithuania in the semifinals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. After much speculation the BBC has announced that musical legend Engelbert Humperdinck will fly the flag for Britain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. Engelbert will represent the UK with a track produced by Grammy award-winning Martin Terefe and co-written by Martin and Ivor Novello winner Sacha Skarbek.

On Saturday 17th March Belgium selects the song to be performed by Iris in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. Iris will present two songs during the special Eurosong 2012: Een Song Voor Iris on Eén. The audience decides. The winning song will be revealed in the show Vrienden Van de Veire, later that evening.

At 19:30 CET 12 candidates compete in the nationale final in Bulgaria. Soluna Samay (Denmark), Anggun (France), Ivi Adamou (Cyprus), Kurt Calleja (Malta) and Gaitana (Ukraine) will also present their songs in the show. Today the first tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 went on sale. The official website ticketmaster.de revaled the shape of the stage by publishing the seating map of the Baku Crystal Hall. The stage has more than one catwalk this year, with the longest one possibly leading to a surprising destination.

Greece has selected four songs for the Greek national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012: No Parking, Killer Bee, Baby I'm Yours and Aphrodisiac. Iris, the 17 year-old singer who'll represent Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, is currently working on her first full album. It's now in funding at her record company SonicAngel. Host Broadcaster of the 2012 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, AVRO, and the European Broadcasting Union have announced that this year's contest will take place on 1st December at the Heineken Music Hall concert venue in Amsterdam. Kim-Lian van der Meij and Ewout Genemans will host the show.
