15.07.11 . San Marino twelfth country in Junior Eurovision 2011
Broadcasters from 12 countries have signed up to participate in the 2011 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which shall take place in Yerevan on 3 December. The Steering Group, which met earlier this week at the EBU headquarters in Geneva, also decided upon several changes.

14.07.11 . Charlotte Perrelli preparing for Melodifestivalen 2012
Charlotte Perrelli wants to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest for the third time. Charlotte won in 1999 with Take Me To Your Heaven and made a comeback with Hero in 2008. The best Swedish songwriters are standing in line to write the song of Charlotte for Melodifestivalen 2012.

30.06.11 . TROS reveals plans for Eurovision 2012 on 6th July
On Wednesday 6th July at 14:30 CET Dutch broadcaster TROS announces its plans for the Eurovision Song Conest 2012 in Baku at a press conference. It is still unknown whether the Dutch candidate for Baku will already be announced. A national final with several candidates also is a possibility.

29.06.11 . No more televoting during Eurovision show in 2012
During last week's meeting of the Eurovision Song Contest's governing body, the Reference Group, an EBU proposal to return from full-show televoting to a limited televoting window after the last song has been performed was approved. The meeting was the first of the newly installed Reference Group.

15.06.11 . Germany 2012: Unser Star für Baku with Thomas D
Thomas D will be the president of the jury during Unser Star für Baku, the German selections for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. The singer of Die Fantastischen Vier is the new Stefan Raab. He decided not to be involved with Eurovision in Germany any longer after he hosted the contest in Düsseldorf this year.

12.06.11 . Waterloo conductor Sven-Olof Walldoff died
In Sweden Sven-Olof Walldoff died this week aged 82. Walldoff was the conductor of ABBA in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 and caught the attention by conducting the Swedish Eurovision entry Waterloo dressed like Napoleon. Watch the performance of Sven-Olof Walldoff and ABBA below.
