Six months after the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf was won by Ell & Niki from Azerbaijan, CNN looks back and forward to the next edition of the contest to be held in Baku, where the construction works for the brand new Baku Crystal Hall with 25.000 seats have already started.

Gohar Gasparyan and Avet Barseghyan will host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Yerevan on 3rd December, Armenian broadcaster AMPTV announced. Junior Eurovision winner Vladimir Arzumanyan and former Armenian Eurovision representative Sirusho will be the guest performers in the show.

Lys Assia, the winner of the very first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956, has been selected for the Swiss national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. Lys Assia will sing the song C'était Ma Vie, written by Ralph Siegel and Jean Paul Cara. 14 candidates take part in the final on 10th December.

62 songs are left in the running for Malta Eurosong 2012. Among the candidates are the former Maltese Eurovision Song Contest participants Fabrizio Faniello and Ludwig Galea. 24 songs will be selected for the semifinal of Malta Eurosong 2012 to be held on 27th January.

09.11.11 . Songs Melodifestivalen 2012 in Sweden announced
Swedish broadcaster SVT has announced the titles of the 32 songs selected for Melodifestivalen 2012. The names of the performing artists will be revealed on 21st and 28th November. Melodifestivalen, the Swedish selections for the Eurovision Song Contest, kicks off on 4th February.

The complete running order of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011 to be held in Yerevan on Saturday 3rd December in Yerevan is known. Thirteen countries take part. For Belgium Femke Verschueren will perform last with Een Kusje Meer. Rachel Traets from the Netherlands is ninth to sing her song Teenager.

Femke will be the last of 13 participants in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011. Russia is first, host country Armenia performs fourth. Later today the posititons of Ukraine, Lithuania, Moldova, Latvia, Bulgaria (first half), Sweden, Belarus, the Netherlands, Georgia and Macedonia (second half) will be announced.

Dutch broadcaster AVRO hosts the next edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2012. That was announced today at the Head of Delegations meeting for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Yerevan, Armenia. The Netherlands is the first country to organize the contest for the second time.

Just like in 2008 The Exclusive Strings want to represent Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku. The violin band announced it on De Zevende Dag. The Exclusive Strings are Melissa Schaak (Canada), Larissa Lismont (Belgium), Maryna Lepiasevich (Russia) and Tamara Savic (Serbia).
