22.05.12 . Bookmakers believe in Russian grannies, not in Iris
Can Iris qualify Belgium from the first semifinal for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012? The bookmakers don't believe in her chances. They predict Belgium to finish bottom five with the song Would You. The grannies from Russia are the top favourites in tonight's first semifinal.
Russia (Buranovskiye Babushki - Party For Everybody) wins the first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 according to the bookmakers, followed by Romania (Mandinga - Zaleilah), Denmark (Soluna Samay - Should've Known Better) and Iceland (Greta Salme & Jnsi - Never Forget). The candidates from Greece (Eleftheria Eleftheriou - Aphrodisiac) and Cyprus (Ivi Adamou - La La Love) can also start dreaming about a place in the final, just like Ireland (Jedward - Waterline), Moldova(Pasha Parfeny - Lăutar), Albania (Rona Nishliu - Suus) and Hungary (Compact Disco - Sound Of Our Hearts).

Israel (Izabo - Time) just misses out on a ticket to the final. Then Switzerland (Sinplus - Unbreakable), Finland (Pernilla Karlsson - Nr Jag Blundar) and Austria (Trackshittaz - Woki Mit Deim Popo) follow. Belgium (Iris - Would You) will finished 15th out of 18 countries according to the bookmakers, while Latvia (Anmary - Beautiful Song), Montenegro (Rambo Amadeus - Euro Neuro) and San Marino (Valentina Monetta - The Social Network Song (Oh Oh Uh - Oh Oh)) have to fear for finishing last.
